Read About Us and Why We Can Help You with Your Wedding PlansWe are Jim and Janice. We hope that writing about us and who we are will show you that this wedding website is a family affair. As stated on our home page, it was started because of the fairly recent experience we had with the unbelievable costs of planning a wedding these days and a desire to help alleviate some of the stress and lessen the costs. Our resumes' are varied. I, Jim, am a Deacon of the White Robed Monks of St. Benedict, an independent Catholic jurisdiction in the tradition of the old Catholic Church. I officiate and bless marriages. One thing that couples don't realize is that They Marry, the officiant, whether religious or civil, is there as a witness and in the case of a minister blesses the marriage. I get to officiate many weddings and see firsthand the stress that a couple faces when planning the wedding. Janice is the rock in the family. She performs the many administrative duties necessary to keep things going.Having been through the recent wedding of our youngest daughter, she has become an experienced wedding planner. There's nothing like living it to learn what it is all about. Of course, we have to include our daughter Katie. Katie is a first grade teacher and is responsible for authoring many of the web pages on this site.Katie was also the last of our children to marry. She and her husband Chris know first hand the financial and emotional burden of planning a wedding.We thank God for Katie for all her help in putting this website together.
