Write Meaningful and Moving Wedding Speeches

One of the highlights at the wedding reception is the wedding speeches. This is a time for heartfelt sincerity, fond memories, and maybe a few laughs.

Speeches from different members of the wedding party, male or female, such as the best man and maid of honor, and even the parents of the couple, contain thoughts appropriately conveyed by the one giving the wedding speech.

Though the individual giving the speech is usually a friend or maybe a close relative, writing a speech can be a daunting task.

Wedding-Speeches

You should put your thoughts and feelings towards the newly married couple into eloquently written words. The speech should also be written in a way so that it is easy to deliver. You want it to flow and sound natural like you are talking directly to the bride and groom, which you are!

If you are not good at writing, you could look into having someone write a speech for you. However, this can be expensive. Another solution is to purchase a pre-written speech or outline that can be edited to meet your needs. This provides a “skeleton” of sorts for you to add on to. It is a good tool for those who might feel intimidated by writing and delivering a speech in front of a large group of people.

Let's not forget the bride and groom in the mix. Besides toasting each other, they will many times give a short wedding speech. With all the pressures of putting the wedding together, who has time to write a speech? Here again is where having someone write a wedding speech for you or using a pre-written speech or outline can be a lifesaver.

However you go about getting the speech you want, have fun with it and say something those at the wedding will remember. Speak from the heart and let your feelings guide you.
